Hello! I’m Eleanor, a printmaker, illustrator and aspiring potter living in Tokyo. 🗼

I’m currently creating small editions of linocut prints. All prints are hand carved, hand printed, packaged and sent from my home in Tokyo. You can learn more about my printing process and the materials I use here.

I’m inspired by ukiyo-e’s role in documenting both the daily life and fantasies of people in the Edo period, as well as the mingei movement in Japanese folk art. With these inspirations, I hope to create work that conveys the beauty of each ordinary day and the people who inhabit them. ✨

Since moving to Japan, I have written and illustrated for Tokyo Weekender magazine and worked in a creative agency as a designer and art director for local and international brands. I’m currently taking on freelance work as well as working part-time in my local sento. 🫧
